With the Galaxy Book3 Pro 16, Samsung offers a series of mobile office laptops that are run by Raptor Lake processors. The models available at the time of the test cost between around 1,700 and 2,200 Euros (~$1,879 and $2,432). Our test unit represents the currently most affordable version.
The Core i5-1340P processor that is used here offers sufficient performance for Internet and office applications and also allows playing simple computer games. The storage space offered with the midrange SSD used here (PCIe 4, M.2-2280) also turns out extremely limited at 256 GB but should still be sufficient for the possible usage scenarios for the laptop. Nonetheless, we should still be able to expect more from a 1,700-Euro laptop. If the storage amount of the SSD turns out to be insufficient, you'd have to replace it with a larger model, since the laptop doesn't offer any space for additional storage drives. The large OLED display (16 inches, 2,880 x 1,800 pixels) in the work-friendly 16:10 format offers an excellent black value and completely covers the DCI-P3 color space. A 76-Wh battery ensures a very good battery life. Another positive point is that the laptop can be charged using either of the two USB-C ports, which also support Thunderbolt 4.
