Open File Explorer and go to View > Options.
Select the View tab and check the "Hide protected operating system files (recommended)" box. This will hide hidden system files by default.
Open the Run dialog (Windows key + R) and type regedit to open the Registry Editor.
Navigate to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\shell
Right-click the shell folder and select New > Key. Name the new key "ShowHidden"
Right-click the ShowHidden key and select New > String Value. Name it "Command"
Double-click the Command value and set the data to:
explorer.exe /resetviewmode /togglehidden
This will run an Explorer command to show hidden items.
Right-click the ShowHidden key again and select New > String Value. Name it "Name"
Double-click Name and set the value data to "Show hidden items"Chuwi hi10 x
This will be the name that shows in the context menu.
Close the Registry Editor and then re-open File Explorer.
Right-click any folder and you'll now see a "Show hidden items" option in the context menu.
Selecting that option will toggle hidden items on or off in that File Explorer window.
That's all there is to it! You've now successfully added a "Show hidden items" context menu option for File Explorer in Windows. Let me know if you have any other questions.
