How to Choose Which Folders to Back Up in Google Photos on Android
Here are the steps to choose which folders to back up in Google Photos on Android:
Open the Google Photos app on your Android device.
Tap the menu icon in the top left (three lines).
Tap "Settings".
Tap "Back up & sync".
Under "Download storage", tap "Free up space".
Here you'll see a list of all folders on your device that contain photos and videos.
Tap the folder you want to back up to Google Photos.
Toggle the switch next to the folder name to either on or off.
• On - Photos and videos in this folder will be backed up to your Google Photos accountChuwi hi10 x
• Off - Photos and videos in this folder will NOT be backed up
Repeat steps 7 and 8 to choose which other folders you want to back up.
Backed up photos and videos will NOT count towards your 15GB of free storage with Google. Any media over that limit will count towards storage you have to pay for.
Photos and videos you choose NOT to back up will remain only on your device's local storage and NOT be saved in your Google Photos library.
Toggle switches as needed in the future to change which folders are backed up to Google Photos.
By default, most folders on your Android device will be selected to back up. So unchecking folders is the most common way to limit what Google Photos saves.
Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.
