Don’t Make These Common PC Building Mistakes
Here are some common PC building mistakes to avoid:
Not planning your parts list in advance. Take the time to research all the parts you need, their specs and compatibility before buying anything. Make sure you have everything you need when building.Chuwi herobook pro
Forgetting the standoffs when installing the motherboard. Standoffs are needed to position the motherboard correctly and prevent shorts. Make sure you install the right number and size of standoffs for your case and motherboard.
Applying too much/too little thermal paste. Use a small pea-sized drop of thermal paste in the center of the CPU. Too much or too little can impact performance and cooling.
Forgetting to install rear I/O covers and case plates. Rear I/O covers and side case panels prevent dust buildup and maintain positive air pressure inside your case.Chuwi hi10 x
Forgetting to enable XMP in BIOS. This can limit the speed of your RAM. You want to enable XMP to run your RAM at its rated speed.
Not plugging in all the required power connectors. Check that you have connected the 24-pin ATX, 4/8-pin CPU and all graphics card power connectors. Missing any can cause issues.
Not seating components fully. Make sure the RAM, graphics card, M.2 drives, etc. are fully seated and locked into place. Even slightly loose components can cause problems.
Forgetting to install drivers. Make sure you install the latest chipset, graphics card and other drivers for your motherboard and components during setup.
Leaving static-sensitive components exposed. When not installing components, store them in anti-static bags or boxes to avoid damage from static electricity.
Hopefully this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.
