5 STEPS TO AN EVEN BETTER GLOBAL LEAD-GENERATION WEBSITE|

KEY STRATEGIES FOR AN EXCEPTIONAL GLOBAL LEAD-GENERATION WEBSITE

Online lead generation encompasses every component of your business’s web-based brand because every interaction with a client has the potential to result in a sale. Beyond buzz words and psychological tactics to earn clicks, there are five key strategies you shouldn’t overlook when developing your global lead-generation website.

1. WHY HOMEPAGE OPTIMIZATION MATTERS

Imagine you stumble upon a website somewhat by accident. The first page greets you and it has huge photos that slow the page’s loading speed. The content is one full block of text, with no headers or organization of any kind.
Would you stick around to see what this company is all about? Likely not, and the bounce rate for this brand will skyrocket. Without investing time and effort into optimizing the home page of their website, businesses lose clients before they’ve even earned them.
While the content of your home page varies based on industry and locale, there are a few tips to optimizing the page regardless of its background. The first is to use your SEO skills to plant keywords throughout your text.
Other tips for optimizing your homepage include adding a compelling call-to-action that prompts further engagement. If the homepage doesn’t direct visitors elsewhere on your site, whether to consume content or make a purchase, then it’s not working to its full potential.
Entrepreneur’s article on optimization for online lead generation covers the basics of optimizing your website, focusing on the quality and content of the copy on each page. As the author stresses, good copy is key to optimizing any part of your website. Without clear, attention-grabbing copy, leads won’t grow.

2. ADAPT LOCALIZATION STRATEGIES

Regardless of the intended audience of your website, infusing local language and culture into your site enhances the odds of lucrative online lead generation. Think about it: when customers feel welcome and understood, they’re more likely to click through your website to find out more.
Search Engine Land’s post on global SEO and localization defines localization and offers tips for developing your brand’s strategy. Copying and pasting content from one website to another that serves a different geographic area is not only lazy, but it’s also ineffective.
Localization is merely the strategy which implements these market-specific components and refocuses your site as a global lead-generation website.

3. MAINTAIN YOUR SITE’S RELEVANCE

Dated websites often miss out on lead generation. If customers can’t tell that your site is active, they might move on without knowing what your company is good at.
Ensure that your website copy caters to the intended demographic with current content and that websites for emerging markets continue to align with local cultural and linguistic needs. Apart from establishing a blog on your website, maintain relevance by frequently updating the site with business-relevant information.
Share what your company is working on in a particular region, showcase new products, or incorporate client feedback as fresh and relevant copy on your website.

4. ACTIVELY ENGAGE VIA SOCIAL MEDIA

As reported by Freely, in 2015 the Content Marketing Institute found that 93 percent of organizations employed social media content as their primary means of marketing. Today, if your business lacks a social media presence, you’re missing out on a crucial lead-generating tool.
Social media allows for more than brand development. It creates a relationship with your audience, and through consistent engagement, you earn trust from your customer base.
As the Content Marketing Institute explains, telling a story with your marketing materials translates into high-impact lead generation. Whether it’s printed copy for circulation or social media posts to generate support for a new product, your brand’s unique qualities endear it to followers.
Repurposing evergreen content and promoting products is fine for social media, but also think about what is unique about your brand and share that, too. Rather than visibly pushing for sales, take the time to develop natural channels for lead generation with social engagement.

5. START BLOGGING (OR HIRE SOMEONE TO)

As reported by Freely, Sprout Social stated in 2015 that in the following year, companies that maintained an active blog would generate 67 percent more leads than those without a blog. For a small investment, your business stands to earn a landslide of online leads.
Whether you have time to blog on your own or not, it’s worth the cost of producing regular blog posts and sharing via social media. The beauty of an ongoing blog is that the content you produce can be repurposed in multiple channels, from YouTube videos to podcasts to downloadable eBooks.
A blog allows fans to share your content, not only increasing the amount of incoming leads generated but also building your brand’s reputation as a leader in the field. Because your blog’s home is your website, every post is a step toward establishing a global lead-generation website that keeps working even after your office hours end.

3 Essential Factors to Consider Before Building Your Website|

Your website is the key place where potential customers will find out about your brand, products, services, and more. So, it’s important to keep these key factors in mind when it comes to designing a site that stands out from the crowd and appeals to your target audience.
#1. Consider Your Customers:
When it comes to putting together the perfect website for your business and brand, the first thing that you’ll need to consider is your customers. Although you may like design elements yourself, it’s important to firstly consider the customer journey before any ideas or preferences of your own. Creating customer profiles can be a good way to do this; conduct market research to find out more about your typical customers and put together an outline of what they would be looking for the most from a site.
In general, however, all customers tend to prefer a site that loads quickly, is free from clutter and unnecessary distractions, and has an easy-to-use navigation system which allows them to find what they are looking for easily. To achieve this, try this tool for building your own website, which allows you to create a website accessible on multiple devices. Your site should also be visually appealing to your customers; keep this in mind when coming up with colour schemes, deciding where to place your logo, and adding other design aspects, such as images and videos, to your site.
#2. Consider SEO:
When building your website, it’s not just your customers that you will need to think about, but also search engines. How SEO-friendly your website is will influence a number of factors, but most importantly, where your website appears in search engine rankings. Along with the content that your site publishes and the placement of relevant keywords, there are various design elements that will affect the ranking of your site.
For example, site loading speed is an important factor; visitors don’t like to be kept waiting for a site to load and Google will quickly pick up on this and penalise your site. In addition, how mobile-friendly your site is will also play a part, with more and more web users now browsing on smartphones, tablets and other smart devices. So, ensure that you choose a responsive design, or use a site building tool that provides you with a mobile-friendly result.
#3. Create Readable Content:
Once you have decided on a website design that appeals to your target audience and keeps search engines satisfied, it’s important to ensure that the content on your website keeps up. Bear in mind that your content is going to be the first thing that both search engines and web users see on your website.
Not only should your content be catchy enough to grab the attention of users searching for relevant keywords in Google and other search engines, it should also be interesting enough to keep them on your website and lead to conversions. Some tips for creating readable content include using a font size of 16pt or above to make it physically easier to read, along with dividing content into smaller portions rather than using one large block of text.
These are just some of the most important things to consider when putting together your website. If you found this information useful, then we’d love to hear from you in the comments section below.

Social Networks And Viral Marketing|

Social Networks And Viral Marketing

You can’t predict what type of content will go viral (meaning that it spreads quickly through social shares, emails, search engine traffic, and other referrals). There’s also no definitive metric to determine whether a social media post, blog article, YouTube video, or other piece of content “goes viral.”
However, it’s definitely the golden ticket in this age of Internet marketing. Getting your brand in front of as many people as possible is the ultimate goal, and viral marketing via social networks can make it happen.
There are a few ways in which you can improve your chances of creating a piece of viral content:
  • Use lots of visual imagery, such as photos and video.
  • Piggyback on a trending or popular subject.
  • Build your audience first, then release the content.
  • Ask your followers to share the content.
  • Offer something that’s more educational, inspiring, or entertaining than anything your
  • competitors have produced.
  • Provide an incentive for sharing the content.

How To Be Effective During Black Friday ?|

1. Research

If you are going to try and capitalise on Black Friday, you are going to need to do your research. This means looking at what your competitors are going to be offering, and what makes the best kind of online campaigns; especially when it comes to running an advertising campaign.

2. Make A Budget

Part of my first tip (research) should give you a helping hand when making a budget for your marketing campaign.
You need to decide how much you want to spend to market your business over the Black Friday period. You should also calculate the cost deductions in your products/services as a part of this.

3. Stay Organised

I started by Black Friday sale on Thursday. In preparation for this, my team and I had to prepare:
  • Email content to inform the database of the sale
  • Social Media posts
  • PPC (visuals and written content)
  • Storefront
  • Product pages, content and pricing
  • Follow up emails to those who have purchased products
This may seem like a lot… and it is. The key to getting all of this in order, is organisation and you are going to need to be your most organised over Black Friday.

4. Up Your Customer Service

Because you are actively promoting your products/services, you may get more questions than usual. This means that you are going to spend more time talking with your customers, separate from the engagement you should already be taking part in.
If you have a team, I would suggest setting this as a task for one of them to manage on a regular basis for the duration of your sale.
Consider using a live-chat feature on your website to help you with this. Zopim is a great option.

5. Don’t Forget To Nurture Leads

Any leads that you may require (even those who are customers) still need to be nurtured. Don’t just send one “thank you” email, send a series of emails. Talk about your other products/services, and offer them exclusive discounts for being a valued customer of yours.

6. Work With Partners

Think about the connections you have in your industry, and whether you can work with them to both market your offering (without competing).
To give you an example, I have various partnerships who will email their database about my Black Friday offers, or share them on Social Media. Who can you reach out to, to do the same?

7. Use Different Price Points

You will have some customers that are only willing to spend a small amount, and customers who are willing to spend more money. I am offering products under £10, under £50 and all the way up to £200.
I hope the above 7 tips will help you be more effective during Black Friday and if you would like to find out more about what I have on offer, click here.

7 DIGITAL MARKETING BEST PRACTICES FOR 2018|林子超博客

As 2017 approaches its end, we summarise the digital marketing trends that will have a significant impact on your marketing strategy. Here are 7 of the most important trends to watch out for in the coming year.

CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE

Digital marketing is already being driven by customer experience. Companies however are starting to rethink their customer experience in order to remain relevant. Shorter content, more personalized, and immediate content, such as videos or infographics, are now being favored. In 2018, these trends will continue.

COLOURFUL CONTENT MARKETING

2018 will be the year of content. Companies will start to realize that content marketing is what matters most. You need colourful, insightful, attention grabbing content to attract attention. It is clear that there is a link between the frequency of regularly updated content, relevant information, and increased customer interaction. This confirms the need to implement content that is customer-centric, and focused on relevant and unique material.

INCREASED PERSONALISATION

Marketing for the masses is no longer viable. Personalized marketing is now taking over. With the mass amount of data available to companies, you’re able to now understand the entire customer journey and from this develop customized marketing strategies. Big Data has changed the way in which data can be used to target consumers.

CROSS-DEVICE MARKETING

The modern consumer has multiple devices to access in order to seek information; computers, laptops, smartphones, and tablets. Mobile device use is increasing and is more adapted to punctual information than computers or laptops. This means companies now have to analyze real time demographic and behavior data in order to optimize marketing strategies according to the place, time, and device of the consumer. This allows companies to understand purchasing behavior and produce relevant multi-channel content.

DATA-DRIVEN MARKETING

Data has become the heart of marketing within the last few years. Marketers now have to exploit it in a way that they can understand the exact customer behavior and what it takes to deliver the best campaigns. There is a massive amount of data involved in marketing that now allows for different digital marketing strategies such as segment marketing, personalized marketing, and native marketing. Data’s implementation into marketing strategies is now vital.

COMPANY BLOGGING

Having a regular company blog has a large amount of benefits. It allows you to optimize your site for organic search, build trust and familiarity with your audience, builds authority in your industry, and allows you to keep your site fresh with regular updates. In short, it’s allows you to create new relationships with the audience. Developing a company blog is essential for driving traffic onto your site, and engaging with potential customers.

INCREASED VISUALIZATION

The use of videos and animations is very much likely to soar high in the future. Using different forms of multimedia mean people are much more likely to engage due to the use of visually rich and interactive elements. This also encourages the audience to like or share the content. Brands now need to capitalize on the introduction of video features on various different social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat.

Content Marketing Mistakes Made by Amateurs|

Automation

One of the biggest mistakes I’ve seen bloggers make is NOT automating when they can. Content marketing is only effective when you get your posts out in front of people so they can actively engage with them. However, I see many people fail to do this simply because they are lazy and can’t find the time. However, this process should be completely automated so all you have to do is set it up once and let the tools handle the rest. For example, Bufferapp.com is a great tool for Twitter that will automatically post “tweets” on your behalf. There are other great tools perfect for Facebook, Twitter, and other popular social media platforms. You should research a few, making use of them going forward because they are very effective in marketing your content WITHOUT you doing any work after the initial setup.
Depending on your type of blog, you can even automate the curation process by using tools that gather content from around the web and post it on your blog.

The Headlines

You have to make sure your content stands out compared to your competition so it’s important to focus on your headlines. Explore popular keywords and make sure you know what your audience is looking so you can provide a taste to them through your headlines. Keep in mind, your content will be displayed in search engines with other relevant search results so it’s important you’re the one who gets all the click-through creating increased conversions.
My strategy is very simple because it involves me finding popular keywords that my audience is looking for. Then I write out my entire content and write down the main points on a separate piece of paper. Before I publish, I’ll skim through my main points and create an awesome headline reflecting as many of these points as I possibility can. My objective is to standout compared to everyone else because this will increase the likelihood of success.

Wrong Content Type

Sometimes, getting your point across and converting your readers doesn’t have to be a lengthy process. By “lengthy”, I mean 2,000+ words of content because sometimes, getting right to the point is the best approach. A recent study shows the most popular type of content is “List Type” because it’s short and right to the point. Imagine how useful this type of content is when people are searching for “top 10 vacation spots” and your blog is number 1 in the SERP’s with your title being “50 Beautiful Places to Travel in the World”. I’m sure you’ll get the highest CTR and will easily be able to convert your visitors.
I suggest focusing on list type of content because it provides substance quickly and Google loves it for the value it provides.

Optimizing Content

Content marketing is only useful if people are able to find you online, which is why I encourage everyone to always optimize their content before publishing. This means to have the right keywords in your content and always research to find out what your audience is looking for. As a matter of fact, research should be done way before so you can write content around your keywords. This way, you have guidelines and direction as you begin typing, but after completion, it’s time to tweak your content. For example, add “target” keywords in the title, first paragraph, throughout the body, and in the concluding paragraph. Don’t forget text formatting as this has been proven to help, for example,
  • Bold
  • Underline
  • H1, H2, and H3
  • Italic

Promoting your post using social media, content syndication and networking with influencers can be highly effective to build up a continuous flow of targeted readers to your blog post and increase your blog traffic.

#1 Email your subscribers

A lot of bloggers simply forget, they already have blog subscribers or a newsletter list. Your email subscribers are the first ones who should get to know about your new post. They have signed up to get news and updates from you and they should be the first to know about your post. Subscribers are your most loyal visitors and the most likely to like and share your post. Don’t forget to ask your subscribers for their opinion, because they are the most likely to comment on your post and start a discussion.
Tools to use, to make it easy to share your blog post with your email subscribers:TipIf you don’t have an email newsletter yet,

#2 Make it easy for your blog visitors to share and promote your blog posts and images

Placing social media share buttons at the top and at the bottom of each posts will encourage your readers to share your post. Also encourage your readers to share your images. If you have an infographic, invite your readers to share them or embed them on their blogs by displaying embed code. Always use strong call-to-action like “please share” to nudge them into action.

Tools to use to make it easy for your visitors to share and promote your blog posts

  • Use the Better Click to Tweet plugin for your blog. The plugin adds ready to use Twitter boxes to your posts or pages. (free & premium)

It will show the social media icons automatically on hover the post images on your site.  (free & premium)

#3 Cross-promote your blog post on Twitter, Facebook, Google+ and LinkedIn

Start by sharing your blog post on your social media channels. Social media are very powerful sources to get more outreach for your content and to drive traffic to your blog.
Twitter and Facebook are the obvious choices for most bloggers. However, Google+ has over 3 billion registered users, and 4-6 million being quite active. So, most of your pals and targets are very likely to have a Google+ account. And, most importantly, active profiles on Google+ have an impact on the ranking in Googles search engine. Even if your main outlets are Twitter, Facebook, cross-posting to Google+ to promote your blog still makes a lot of sense.
  • Each network has a different character limit and different image size requirements.
  • In some networks you can join current discussions by adding popular hashtags. Hashtags also turn your posts into searchable content.
  • Some networks activate @ handles to reach out to specific users.
  • Or, you can add emojis to personalize your posts with emotions.
Each network is used for different purposes and at different times, when communities are most active. And, the communities react differently to post formats. Hashtags work fine for Twitter and Instagram, but they perform less on Facebook and LinkedIn. Google+ users read long comments, while on Facebook short comments perform better. You may also need to address your LinkedIn business contacts differently than your Facebook friends.
To effectively cross-promote your blog post, don’t just cross-post the same message on every social network. Tailor the message for your posts to fit each social media platform and audience.

How to cross-promote your blog post on Twitter, Facebook, Google+ and LinkedIn

  • Share your post on TwitterFacebook, Google+ and LinkedIn (if your content is business-related)
  • If you have product or business pages on Facebook, LinkedIn and Google+, share your posts to your pages as well but at different times and days.
  • Also share your blog post to relevant groups and communities on Facebook, LinkedIn and Google+, but share them on different days and times and use different messages tailored for each group.
  • Schedule your post multiple times on Twitter and on your LinkedIn timeline, but be more selective with Facebook and Google+.
  • Schedule your posts at the best times for each network and spread over several days, weeks and month to extend the lifespan of your posts. Re-share and re-schedule your evergreen posts from time to time, to revive them.
Tip: Use social media tools and plugins to help you with cross-promoting, sharing and scheduling your posts. But look out for tools that let you tailor your messages for each network. Cross-promote your content to meet the characteristics of each platform and community!
Check out our free guide and checklist to promote your blog and share your blog posts
Tools to automatically cross-promote your blog post on social media networks
  • Use the Blog2Social plugin to share and cross-promote your blog posts automatically to your social media channels, directly from the WordPress dashboard. The plugin allows you to auto-post and to customize your posts individually for each network. You can also schedule your posts to be shared at the best times to post on each network. The plugin auto-posts your blog posts to Facebook (profiles, pages), Twitter, Google+ (profiles, pages, groups), LinkedIn (profiles, pages), XING (profiles, pages, groups), Diigo and Reddit, to Tumblr, Medium, Torial for re-publishing your post, as well as your images on Instagram, Flickr and Pinterest. You may also re-post old post and pre-schedule your scheduled post for auto-posting.

#4 Share your images to promote your blog post

The proverb “A picture is worth a thousand words” has taken on a special significance in the age of social media. People are more likely to click on posts with images, than on posts with plain text. And, people love to search for images and videos online. There are many sites and search engines just for image and video search, not to forget Google image and video search which is directly displayed in the regular search index. Visual content such as photos, infographics and videos can have a tremendous impact on the attention you get for your blog post from all these sources as well as from social media.
Whenever you share your blog post on social media as regular link post, only your featured image will be shared. But most blog posts have more than just one image. Images you can use to re-share your post or to use for highlighting different aspects of your blog content.

How to best promote your blog post images on social media:

  • Share your post on Pinterest, Instagram and Flickr, using your focus image with your introduction, hashtags and a link to your post.
  • If you have multiple images in your blog post, share them all, but share them on different days and at different times, stressing a different focus of your topic.
  • You can also share your post with selected images as image post format on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Google+ to re-share your posts with different visual anchors.
  • Note: Image post formats will automatically upload your images to your media gallery on Twitter, Facebook and Google+. Your images don’t disappear in your timeline, but can be accessed by your followers anytime they browse your gallery. So don’t forget to add a link to your post in the comment of your image post to make your blog post accessible as well.

# 5 Promote your blog post in blogger communities

Blogger communities like Reddit, Triberr or Quora are community to find bloggers in your niche and promote your content. Specific categories to give your content a wider outreach and connect with people specifically interested in your topics. By networking with blogger with similar interests you will be more likely to find people willing to share your content. Most communities work on a ‘give and take’ principle. You leave comments on other blogger posts, and they will leave on yours.

Figure Out What Drives Your Customers

You will never achieve the business success you crave for until you figure out your target audience. And this might seem like an easy enough task based on the regular demographics of gender, age, etc. But the thing is, you have to move beyond identifying the customer’s address, marital status, and interests.
This is the era of “experience,” and you must provide an experience that customers will appreciate. This is exactly what sets companies like Airbnb and Uber apart – they’ve gained success due to the amazing customer experience they provide while, at the same time, fulfilling some need.
So pay attention to the questions your target audience is asking, and build your business by answering these questions and providing rich content in the process. This content may be in the form of infographics, images, webinars, and posts. The more time you devote towards understanding the thought process of your customer, the better your content will resonate with them. By the end, you’ll be in a position to gain their trust.

Understand How Social Media Figures Into Your Business: Identify KPI's

Define the goal for your social media campaigns. Otherwise, you will fail to assess the failure or success of your efforts. The three main goals include:
  • Community Building
  • Brand Awareness Enhancement
  • Engagement Boost
Find more details on each below:

Community Building

Create a closed community of individuals who’ve engaged with your company and invested in your service or product. Measure the growth of this community by tracking metrics like:
  • Live video engagements
  • Daily post engagements
  • Questions being asked by group members
  • Number of members in the group
For this purpose, you might have to use third-party analytics tools such asGryticsSimply Measured, or Brandwatch

Brand Awareness Enhancement

According to MediaKix, the average person spends nearly two hours on the five major social media platforms. So, you need to assess your brand awareness by analyzing metrics like:
  • Number of followers
  • Impressions
  • Number of shares and mentions
  • Profile visits
  • New followers
  • Top mentions

Engagement Improvement

Higher your engagement on social media, more trustworthy your brand is deemed and the more recommendations users receive. In fact, some social media sites prioritize posts with higher engagement, showing them at the top of the feed. So, you need to boost your engagement.

Pick The Suitable Social Network(s)

You need to target social networks based on the demographics of each platform to get the results you want. So before choosing a platform, research about the social media sites your target audience is interested in. Concentrate on two major areas:

Network Demographics

Network demographics matter considerably. For example, Facebook – the biggest social media platform – has a monthly active user base of 1.86 billion. And out of this, 79 percent of users are adults (according to astudy by Pew Research). The 18 to 29 demographic constitutes 88 percent, 30 to 49 is 84 percent, 50 to 64 covers 72 percent, while 65 and above is 62 percent. If you consider gender, a larger percentage of women users (83 percent) are Facebook members compared to 75 percent men. Also, users on Facebook watch more than 100 million hours worth of video content on a daily basis. All this information can come in handy when you’re trying to figure out whether Facebook fits the profile of your target customer or not.

Reciprocity Across Platforms

A business must take into account the reciprocity across the important social media platforms. If for instance, the chosen network of your target customer is Facebook, you should consider the chances of them using Twitter too.

Boost Internal Stakeholders’ Social Appeal

What if I told you there’s a mini-army of potential brand advocates ready to work for you? These are your people – employees, vendors, investors and more. Primarily, for a B2B brand, it can work wonders to work with your people and motivate them to share the brand’s content with their social networks.
Of course, you will need to incentivize this action, and make the content share-worthy. Here are some usefulsocial sharing message examples to help your audience get started. Once you mobilize internal resources, use basic analytics to identify the niche influencers and micro influencers that are already part of your brand family.
These types of “in-house influencers” can prove to be invaluable for many reasons. Brands that knowhow to keep employees engaged often find it easier to retain star performers, find that their reputations as great employers spike and enjoy lower costs in their social media-based content distribution efforts.

Focus On The Right Content Topics

Plan your content to be unique, relevant, and specific. Create content that will engage your readers. For that reason, you need to figure out what sort of content they want.
Create a survey using tools likeSurveyMonkey or run a Twitter poll. While choosing questions, keep your goal in mind. Also, you can encourage responses by customers by offering rewards for completing the survey. Studying your competitors can also be a learning experience for your company – this way you can figure out what they’re doing right.
You can use tools likeFeedly to research your industry over the Internet.

Generate Leads

Use the company’s social media accounts to start your own lead generation strategy. Post funny, useful, valuable content that links back to your website for delivering targeted leads.
At the same time, analyze your lead generation tactics. SMS lead generation can work wonders, even with simplistic tactics such as using a ‘Click to text us for a quote’ button on your landing pages, and personalizing text messages.
Once you’ve gathered all the required data from your site, Google Analytics account, or lead capture software to bring it to the attention of the higher-ups so that they can add a degree of innovation to the way your business adds value to its services and products via social media.

Keep Track Of Your Progress

The final part of your social media strategy map involves measuring your business success and adjusting the course, if necessary. Now, success is gauged via reach and conversions.
Reach means how many people have expressed interest in your content. You get to know the impact of your social media content on your target audience. On the other hand, conversions allow you to determine if the focus on social media is pushing your sales forward.
