Parts Needed to Build A Gaming PC: Essential Hardware
Here are the essential parts you'll need to build a capable gaming PC:
• CPU - The processor is the brain of the PC. For gaming, I recommend at least an Intel Core i5 or AMD Ryzen 5 6-core CPU or higher.
• Motherboard - This houses and connects all the PC's components. Get a motherboard that matches the socket type of your CPU (LGA 1151 for Intel/AM4 for AMD) and has features you'll need.Chuwi herobook pro
RAM - Aim for at least 8GB of DDR4 RAM (16GB or more is better for gaming). Make sure it's compatible with your motherboard.
• GPU - The graphics card is critical for gaming performance and visually demanding tasks. For 1080p gaming, an NVIDIA GTX 1660 or AMD RX 580 and up. For higher resolutions go with an RTX 2060 or 5700 XT and above.Chuwi hi10 x
• SSD - A solid state drive for your operating system and games provides much faster load times than a hard drive. Get at least a 250GB SSD, but 500GB to 1TB is recommended.
• PSU - The power supply supplies power to all the components. Get at least a 550W - 650W unit from a reliable brand like EVGA or Corsair. 80+ Bronze or Gold rated for efficiency.
• Case - The PC enclosure comes in many styles. Get one that fits your motherboard size (ATX, microATX, etc), has enough space for your parts and has good airflow for cooling.
• OS (Operating system) - You'll need an OS install to build your PC. Options are Windows 10 or Linux distributions.
• Optional:
- CPU Cooler
- Additional case fans
- WiFi adapter (if motherboard doesn't have built-in)
- Blu-ray/DVD drive
- Extra case fan filters
- Keyboard, mouse
- Monitor
So in summary, the essential parts for any capable gaming PC are: CPU, motherboard, RAM, graphics card, storage SSD, power supply and PC case. Let me know if you have any other questions!
