How to Join a Discord Server in 4 Steps
Here are 4 steps to join a Discord server:
- Download the Discord app. You can join a Discord server from either the desktop app or mobile app.

- Google Play Store (for Android)
- App Store (for iOS devices)
- Discord's website (for Windows, Mac or Linux)
- Click the invite link. You'll be sent an invite link to join the server, which will look something like this:
discord.gg/servername
Click that link on any device where you have the Discord app installed.
Choose your username. When prompted, choose a username you want to use for that specific Discord server. This can be different from your main Discord username.
Select your server roles. You may be prompted to select roles within that server to specify things like your age, pronouns, interests, etc.
Select the roles that apply to you, then click "Continue."
You'll now be a member of the Discord server! From there you can:
• See the server's text channels
• Join voice channels
• See member lists
• Interact with other members
• Set a custom nickname
• Get assigned server roles
